We are currently seeking to recruit an FLT Driver to provide an efficient system of pallet movement of materials including finished goods, packaging and pallets across the full site.

Responsibilities:

• To operate forklift trucks to transport finished products and packaging in a safe & controlled manner, ensuring there is no damage to the materials
• Move finished from production areas to internal / external warehouses
• Provide quality inspection of all pallets to be moved either finished goods or packaging and reject and report all substandard products
• Supply the production department with the packaging requirements and pallets, return any foreign pallets and excessive packaging materials to stock
• Removal of packaging from finished goods pallet to allow them to be fed onto the lines
• General warehouse duties including stock checking & housekeeping
• Complete daily FLT safety checks & record in record book

Required skills / qualifications:

• Fully trained and qualified forklift truck driver
• Ability to work on own initiative & works well in a team environment
• Ability to communicate verbally
• Ability to operate strapping and shrink-wrap machinery
• Familiarity of Health and Safety policy procedures & Hygiene rules and procedures
• Understanding of work instructions and follow company procedures

• Based on Grade 4 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary Minimum £24,726 - £29,782 Maximum (1686 hours)
• Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
• Monday-Friday working – condensed hours where appropriate
