Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales is seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Operative to join our logistics operation in Runcorn, Cheshire. This temporary ongoing role offers permanent opportunities for the right candidate, at £15.03 per hour.

The shift pattern is 4 on / 4 off with rotating 12-hour days and nights. You will safely operate forklift trucks, load/unload goods, and support stock movements in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
• Willingness to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles accurately and without damage.
• Transport materials to designated storage and production areas.
• Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and report any defects.
• Assist with stock movement, stock rotation, and general warehouse duties when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all company quality standards and operational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
