Job summary

Barker Ross Group is seeking a Counterbalance Driver for a client site in Hams Hall, Birmingham. The role is based on a freezer environment with responsibilities including operating a counterbalance forklift, unloading and transporting goods within the warehouse, and maintaining stock rotation.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid counterbalance certification and have experience with goods in/out and inventory checks. This is a temp-perm, ongoing position with shift work.

Qualifications

• Valid counterbalance certification/license.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Ability to operate counterbalance and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Goods in/out, stock checking experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a freezer, up to -20 onsite.
• Operate counterbalance, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Stack and store materials in appropriate areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of reach trucks.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Barker Ross is recruiting a FLT Counterbalance Driver on behalf of a client based in Hams Hall, Birmingham

Job Title: Counterbalance Driver

Location: Hams Hall, Birmingham

Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour plus £6 shift premium per each night

Duration: Temp-perm, ongoing

Shifts:

• Mon-Fri 22:00-06:00
• Mon-Fri 18:00 - 02:00
• Sun-Thur 22:00-06:00
• Sun-Thur 18:00 - 02:00
• 3ON - 3OFF 18:00-06:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a freezer, up to -20 onsite * Operate counterbalance, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
