Job summary

Barker Ross Group is recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver in Wigston, LE18, for an international bakery manufacturer. Immediate start with a national accredited Counterbalance license is required. Shift pattern is 06:00 to 18:00, 4 on/4 off, with hourly pay of £14.33–£15.83.

Role involves receiving, storing, and dispatching goods using ERP/WMS systems, maintaining traceability, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Onsite facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• Stock control and inventory accuracy throughout warehouse operations.
• Experience with FIFO stock rotation and material handling processes.
• Ability to work with ERP/WMS for goods receipt and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, store and count materials with FIFO accuracy.
• Complete intake, dispatch and returns paperwork with traceability.
• Operate a Counterbalance FLT for storage and pallet placement.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment and monitor temperatures for chilled/frozen goods.
• Collaborate with teams and drivers to support smooth operations.

Job description

Barker Ross is currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver to work in an international food manufacturing company (bakery) based in the Wigston, LE18 area.

Our client has been developing bakery solutions for food service providers, retailers, and bakers for over 30 years. They operate in 20 countries around the world. They adapt their recipes and services to local traditions, eating habits and sales channels.

This role is an immediate start

This role requires a national accredited Counterbalance license.

Pay rate

£14.33 to 15.83 per hour

Working hours

06:00 to 18:00 - 4 on 4 off

Duties

• Safely receive, store, and manage raw materials and finished goods using ERP/WMS systems, ensuring stock rotation (FIFO) and accurate inventory checks.
• Complete all required paperwork, including intake, dispatch, and returns handling, ensuring accurate traceability and compliance with company procedures.
• Operate a Counterbalance FLT to handle storage, dispatch, and ensure safe pallet placement in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse, complying with health, safety, and environmental policies, including temperature monitoring for chilled/frozen goods.
• Collaborate with the team, external drivers, and other departments to support smooth operations, elevate issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
