Job summary

Gap Personnel is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Rotherham to support safe movement, storage and dispatch of goods across two sites. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, ensure accurate order preparation and maintain high housekeeping standards.

The role requires a current FLT Counterbalance licence and previous forklift experience in a warehouse setting. It offers a rotating shift pattern with early and late shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• A current FLT Counterbalance licence is required.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Experience working in a warehouse/manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Good accuracy and numeracy skills for order handling.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with good timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck in a busy warehouse environment
• Consolidate and prepare customer orders accurately
• Palletise, band and move stock into racking
• Safely load and unload HGV deliveries and containers
• Move materials and finished goods between two sites as required
• Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping and safety
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Work as part of a shift team to maximise productivity
