Job summary

Greggs is establishing a brand-new Flow Room at our National Distribution Centre in Kettering. As Flow Room Lead you will help shape operations from day one, recruit and train the team, and partner with engineering, IT and operations to define how automation drives performance.

You will learn systems, write SOPs, deliver training materials, and ensure safe, efficient processes while reporting to the Warehouse Manager. This is a full-time startup-style role at Symmetry Park.

Qualifications

• Experience in automated warehouse operations and start-up launches.
• Ability to write, implement and embed SOPs and best practices.
• Ability to develop training materials and onboarding plans.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and build a cohesive Flow Room team.
• Collaborate with on-site operations and engineering to ensure smooth automated system and product flow.
• Oversee all Flow Room functions including labour planning and staffing.
• Lead shift team through handovers, briefs and coaching.
• Monitor WMS with KPI dashboards and best practices.
• Manage IT and automation incidents with rapid resolution.
• Ensure customer service remains central to Flow Room operations.
• Review and improve Flow Room processes and risk assessments.
• Prepare reports for NDC senior team and provide ad-hoc system queries.
