Job summary

Greggs in Derby is seeking a Flow Room Lead to join our new manufacturing and logistics site at SmartParc. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will lead the Flow Room team, coordinate with planning, engineering and operations to optimise product flow and labour planning on a 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour shift.

This full-time role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-moving start-up style environment, with a focus on safety, continuous improvement and delivering excellent service to our shops

Qualifications

• Experience in automated warehouse operations.
• Experience in start-up environments or new site launches.
• Ability to write, implement and embed SOPs and operating practices.
• Strong IT skills and ability to produce dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and build a cohesive Flow Room team.
• Coordinate with on-site operations and engineering for smooth automated flow.
• Oversee Flow Room functions including labour planning and staffing.
• Lead shift team with effective handovers and daily briefs.
• Monitor WMS with KPI dashboards and best practices for throughput.
• Manage IT and automation incidents with clear escalation.
