Job summary

The University of Cambridge invites applications for a Research Assistant to support the Flow and Mass Cytometry core service at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute on Addenbrooke's Biomedical Campus, Cambridge.

You will run day-to-day operation of cell sorters (S8 Discover, S6 Symphony at Containment Level 2), maintain instruments, provide basic training for users of cytometers, and assist researchers with experimental design and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in biological sciences or closely related field.
• Experience with flow cytometry is desirable.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day flow and mass cytometry core services.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cytometry equipment and instruments.
• Provide basic training for users of analytical cytometers.
