Job summary

Unilin, a leading international flooring manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Manager in the Liverpool area with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. You will support customers and installers, investigate site-related issues, deliver product and installation training, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure top quality performance and installation standards.

This hybrid role offers office, home and field-based work, opportunities to influence future flooring

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience within the flooring industry, particularly LVT and resilient flooring.
• Strong understanding of flooring installation best practice, including subfloor preparation, moisture testing and adhesive selection/use.
• The ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
• Confidence communicating technical information clearly and professionally to different audiences.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
• Experience producing clear and professional technical reports.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers, installers, distributors and internal teams.
• Investigate and resolve product and installation-related issues, delivering practical and effective solutions.
• Conduct site visits to assess flooring performance and installation quality.
• Deliver technical training and product presentations to customers, installers and colleagues.
