Multi Trades Recruitment is seeking an Experienced Flooring Operative for a social housing maintenance contract in South Manchester and surrounds. The role covers flooring installations, reactive maintenance and repairs across occupied and void properties.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with an out-of-hours on-call rota. A company van and fuel card can be provided, or van costs reimbursed if you use your own vehicle.

Qualificações

• Experience in flooring installations across vinyl, laminate, LVT, Polyflor and Altro.
• Ability to work independently across multiple properties and maintain high workmanship.
• CSCS card is required; DBS preferred (can be obtained before start).

Responsabilidades

• Install and repair vinyl, laminate, LVT, Polyflor and Altro flooring.
• Fit safety flooring in kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms.
• Prepare floors, level surfaces and apply screeds.
• Remove and replace damaged floor coverings; weld joints and fit trims.
• Complete flooring repairs across occupied and void properties; ensure high quality finishes.

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an Experienced Flooring Operative to begin work for a well-established social housing maintenance company covering South Manchester and surrounding areas.

About the Role

• Working Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm (Out-of-hours on-call rota)
• Pay Rate - £22.00 per hour
• Duration - Temp to perm, working on an 8-year contract
• Location - South Manchester - Altrincham, Wythenshawe, Cheadle, Wilmslow and the M56 / M60 corridor
• Start Date - Early December 2026

Brief Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Flooring Operative to carry out flooring installations, reactive maintenance and repairs across occupied and void social housing properties.

Duties will include

• Installing and repairing vinyl, laminate, LVT, Polyflor and Altro flooring.
• Fitting safety flooring in kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms.
• Preparing floors, levelling surfaces and applying screeds.
• Removing and replacing damaged floor coverings.
• Welding joints, sealing edges and fitting flooring trims.
• Completing flooring repairs across multiple occupied and void properties.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Following all health & safety procedures.

Vehicle Arrangements

• Company van and fuel card can be provided.
• Alternatively, operatives can use their own van with fuel costs reimbursed.

About You

• Experienced Flooring Operative / Floor Layer.
• Confident installing and repairing the flooring types listed above.
• Valid CSCS card required.
• DBS certificate ideally (can be obtained before start)
• Relevant NVQ qualifications and Blue or Gold Skilled Worker cards desirable.
• Previous social housing / reactive maintenance experience preferred.
• Experienced working in occupied properties and comfortable working around tenants.
• Additional trade skills advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Good attention to detail and quality of finish.
• Able to work independently across multiple properties.
• Punctual, professional and reliable.
