Overview

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineers based in Bridgend.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, SAB Applications and SuDS Designs using Causeway or Infodrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally to work from the office 3 days a week.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage Projects, Local Authority and Government/Defence Projects. You will also have the opportunity to complete varied residential, commercial, industrial and healthcare projects.

Responsibilities

• Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3.
• Flood Consequence Assessments.
• Surface Water Management Plans.
• Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.
• SAB Applications.
• Flood Risk Mapping.
• Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using Causeway Flow and infodrainage for residential, commercial, mixed use development projects.
• Drainage Area Planning.
• You will also have the opportunity to be supported to Chartered status and receive hands on training from the experienced team.

Qualifications

• BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering.
• Experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, SAB Applications and SuDS Designs using Causeway or Infodrainage.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
