Job summary

Centrepoint in Bradford is seeking two Floating Support & Progression Officers to join our Highfield Terrace team. You will act as a keyworker, supporting vulnerable young people aged 18–25 in semi-independent accommodation to progress towards independent living.

You’ll develop personalised support plans, help access education, training and employment, and advocate for service access while maintaining safeguarding and high wellbeing standards. Shift rota includes early/late and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable and homeless young people.
• Ability to build positive relationships with empathy and respect.
• Calm, resilient and confident in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and teamwork.
• Willingness to work a rota including weekends and variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as keyworker for young people to support their goals.
• Develop personalised support and risk management plans for progression.
• Help young people access education, training, employment, volunteering and apprenticeships.
• Support development of essential life skills including budgeting and housing maintenance.
• Advocate for services and connect individuals with Centrepoint and external agencies.
• Collaborate with partner organisations, landlords and local services for positive outcomes.
• Maintain safeguarding, wellbeing and risk management standards.
• Keep accurate case records and contribute to a person‑centred support environment.
