Job summary

Catering is seeking an experienced Floating Conveyancing Fee Earner to provide flexible support across established legal teams in Mansfield, Derby, Chesterfield and Nottingham. The role covers gaps during annual leave, sickness and busy periods as teams grow and capacity expands.

You will handle residential transactions from instruction to exchange and completion, review contracts and titles, and liaise with clients, agents and lenders.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ conveyancing experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing.
• Ability to manage files with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Providing cover for annual leave, sickness and busy periods.
• Picking up and progressing existing residential conveyancing caseloads.
• Managing matters from instruction through to exchange and completion.
• Handling sales, purchases, remortgages and other residential property matters.
• Reviewing contracts, titles and searches, and dealing with enquiries.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
• Keeping matters progressing efficiently and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Providing clear advice and maintaining excellent client service.
• Adapting quickly to different teams, systems and working practices.
