Legal Secretary - Birmingham City Centre

Our client, a Legal 500 Firm in Birmingham City Centre, is seeking a Legal Secretary. This full-time role offers great opportunities for progression and excellent company benefits.

Role Overview:

Provide typing, secretarial, and administrative support to the team, ensuring high standards of service and responsiveness to fee earners' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transcribe audio, digital dictation, and prepare documents.
  2. Maintain the case management system, ensuring accurate electronic filing and document linking.
  3. Handle routine tasks such as scanning, printing, photocopying, binding, and faxing.
  4. Schedule appointments and manage diaries for managers and fee earners.
  5. Communicate professionally with clients via in person and phone interactions.
  6. Use internal systems for finance tracking, time recording, and billing.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client information.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Effective communication skills, calmness under pressure, strong organizational abilities.
  • Deadline-driven with proactive problem-solving skills.
