Job summary

IMP Aerospace and Defence is seeking a Fleet Support Transition Engineer to support the CH149 fleet transition and evaluate technical initiatives. The role involves coordinating technical advice to bases, OEMs, and design authorities, with emphasis on airworthiness and fleet modernization.

The successful candidate will contribute to inspection package reviews, maintenance program evaluation, and action tracking under the CH149 ATO, with on-site work in Halifax, NS.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional Engineer eligibility is desirable.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and military aircraft modification processes is an asset.
  • Experience in an aircraft engineering environment is an asset.
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and review of inspection packages for aircraft parts and components from OEM guidance.
  • Review and evaluate maintenance programs and technical documentation.
  • Identify options and conduct analysis for fleet and modification initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical advice to MOBs, OEMs and Design Authorities.
