Job summary

Aviation Links in Manchester is seeking a Fleet Performance Engineer to join the Maintenance Control Team. You will manage and develop the preventative maintenance programme and lead the predictive maintenance philosophy for the Embraer E190 fleet, with a focus on reliability and on-time operations.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, coordinating with line and base engineering, and delivering operational performance reports.

Qualifications

  • CAA Part-66 licence or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Embraer E190 type rating or experience in a similar technical support / technical services role.
  • Working knowledge of Part-CAMO, Part-M, and Part-145 requirements.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Technical Services experience, including continued airworthiness / practical maintenance support.
  • Knowledge of airline business, regulatory, and operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the preventative maintenance programme.
  • Lead the predictive maintenance philosophy for the fleet.
  • Identify maintenance tasks outside the scheduled programme to protect the flying programme.
  • Communicate requirements to line and base engineering teams with clear instructions.
  • Maintain focus on Technical Dispatch Reliability and support company targets.
  • Develop, maintain, and present operational and performance reports.
  • Act as a technical expert on the fleet for the Maintrol Team and cover shifts as needed.
  • Collaborate with Safety Services and Air Ops to review Flight Data events and determine actions.

An airline based in Manchester is looking to recruit aFleet Performance Engineerto join theirMaintenance Control Team.

This is aPermanent, Full-Time positionbased inDidsbury, Manchester, supporting a fleet ofEmbraer E190aircraft with a focus on reliability, technical performance, and on-time operation.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is tomanage and develop the preventative maintenance programmeand lead thepredictive maintenance philosophyfor the fleet, with a focus on maximisingaircraft reliabilityand supporting safe, on-time operations.
Other duties involve

  • Use multiple data sources to identify maintenance tasks required outside of (or in addition to) the scheduled maintenance programme to protect the flying programme
  • Communicate requirements to line and base engineering teams viaEngineering Technical Requirementsandwork instructions, ensuring actions are issued in time to address repetitive, latent, and active defects
  • Maintain a continued focus onTechnical Dispatch Reliability, supporting delivery of company targets from an operational and reliability perspective
  • Develop, maintain, and presentoperational and performance reports
  • Act as a technical expert on the fleet, supporting the Maintrol Team withad-hoc shift cover, troubleshooting guidance, and support on complex/repetitive defects
  • Collaborate with Safety Services and Air Ops teams to reviewFlight Data conditional events, interpreting flight data recorder outputs to determine engineering follow-up actions
Qualifications and requirements:
  • CAA Part-66 B1/B2 licenceorequivalent engineering technical qualification
  • Embraer E190 type rating, or experience in a similar technical support / technical services role
  • Working knowledge ofCAA/EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M, and Part 145requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
