Holt Executive is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing aerospace-focused team, developing high-fidelity flight simulator hardware and electromechanical systems.

You will produce detailed 3D models and drawings, support testing and validation, and collaborate with systems, software and project teams to deliver safe, compliant hardware. This fast-paced role rewards ownership, agility, and mentoring, with opportunities to influence tool choices and drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing mechanical/electromechanical hardware.
• Strong CAD skills (Creo/Pro-E or CATIA V5).
• Experience with structural analysis/FEA tools (NASTRAN, Ansys, Abaqus).
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter).
• Understanding of aerospace mechanical/electrical standards.
• Strong problem-solving and testing/validation experience.
• Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in flight simulation or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical/electromechanical hardware for flight simulators.
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and project teams for integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and support testing/validation.
• Lead continuous improvement and evaluate new tools/tech.
• Support supplier management and component integration.
• Provide technical leadership or mentoring where appropriate.
