Job summary

Acron Aviation Training Systems is seeking a hardware engineer to design and develop electrical hardware for advanced flight simulators. Based in Greater London with hybrid work options, you will contribute to the design, development and delivery of high‑reliability hardware solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

You will lead or collaborate on specifications, schematics and models, coordinate with software and systems teams, and mentor engineers while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Must have electrical engineering education and a methodical approach to design and documentation.
• Experience with hardware design, testing, and validation in aerospace or similar industries.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to electrical hardware design for flight simulators with a mechanical bias.
• Develop and document detailed specifications, schematics and models for mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and safety-critical requirements.
• Collaborate with software, systems and project teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Oversee testing, validation and troubleshooting of hardware to meet performance targets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the engineering team.
• Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing and integration of components.
