Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a skilled engineer for the Air Combat Simulation team based in Bedfordshire. You will develop and validate models and analysis tools for aircraft simulation and distributed systems.

The role requires Matlab/Simulink (Stateflow) expertise, proficiency in C/C++ and DLL programming, and experience with flight dynamics and sensors modelling. National security vetting is required and you will work within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong Matlab/Simulink (Stateflow) experience is required.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and DLL programming languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a small team to deliver customer-focused modelling and simulation support.
• Develop requirements from customer briefs and build models and analysis tools.
• Update, debug and verify models and simulation tools (V&V).
• Analyse results from models and simulations to understand performance and interactions.
• Develop and maintain translation tools for data formats used by the community.
• Create Simulink models and auto-code to C/C++ and DLLs; integrate into system-of-systems.
• Conduct simulation development, testing and results analysis.
