Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an experienced engineer to support the Air Combat Simulation team in Bedfordshire. You will develop models and tools, code in C/C++ and DLLs, and validate simulations for distributed systems.

The role requires Matlab/Simulink expertise, stateflow, and knowledge of DIS/HLA with a strong focus on verification and documentation. National security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink, Stateflow and auto-coding to C/C++.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Delphi and flight dynamics modelling.
• Knowledge of DIS, HLA and Git for version control.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a small team delivering modelling and simulation support.
• Develop requirements from customer briefs and build models/tools.
• Update, debug and verify models and simulation tools.
• Analyse results and provide understanding of component interactions.
• Develop Simulink models and auto-code to C/C++ and dll.
• Integrate models into system-of-systems simulations.
• Prepare documentation: user guides, interface control docs, reports.
