Job summary

Stirling Dynamics is seeking an experienced Flight Control Systems Engineer to join our Systems & Safety team in Bristol. You will help deliver civil aerospace and eVTOL projects, with hybrid working and occasional client site visits.

Key duties include leading requirements capture, performing V&V, supporting design, development and certification activities, and preparing design reviews and technical proposals while coordinating a team of engineers and managing risk across complex control

Qualifications

Candidates ideally degree qualified in a related discipline.
Experience with civil aircraft certification processes (DO-178B/DO-254) is preferred.
Knowledge of ARP4754 guidelines and requirements management tools is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead task identification and definition within project scope.
Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver results.
Support design, development & certification activities including V&V.
Prepare and review documentation for the design process.
Attend internal/external design reviews and certification activities.
Support system and equipment level modifications and in-service issue resolution.
Identify project risks and propose mitigations; manage scope and schedules.
