Job summary

The Reflex Group is recruiting an experienced Flexographic Printer for our Boston site. The role involves preparing and troubleshooting a multi-colour flexographic press, maintaining inks and solvents, and ensuring print quality to specification.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all printing tasks are carried out to high standards and that the standards are maintained.
• To operate and maintain production speeds on your shift and setting times to targets and record/report in areas where this is not possible.
• To work towards production improvements in methods, to eliminate potential quality problems and reduce downtime.
• To liaise with the production manager to achieve best machine utilisation with minimum wastage, while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
• Work as part of a team supporting colleagues and sharing information.
• To follow all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Print Department and ensure accurate records are maintained.
• To ensure teamwork and maintain safe working systems to avoid injuries and ensure safe operations.
• Ensure collaborative working within the Print Department via good communication.

Job description

The company has an opportunity for an experienced Flexographic Printer at our site in Boston.

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 Monday to Thursday and 6.00 – 13.00 Friday and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00 Monday to Thursday and 13.00 – 20.00 Friday

A flexographic Printer job requires you to manage flexographic printing machines such as an 10 colour narrow web servo-driven flexographic press. You usually prepare the press for printing and troubleshoot any issues during printing. Monitor printing processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, adjusting as necessary. Maintain inks and solvents according to types of material being printed and work order specifications.
