Job summary
Atkore in West Bromwich is seeking a Flexo Operator to support the Flexo department in the smooth running of the machines to produce conduits to drawing. You will monitor quality, maintain lubrication, load coils, thread steel strip, and achieve 75% efficiency with 4 Flexo machines.
You will work 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 on rotating shifts, earning £12.71 per hour plus 22% shift allowance, with benefits including 25 days leave, pension, life assurance, and onsite parking.

Responsibilities
- Support the Flexo setter in the smooth running of the Flexo machines to produce conduits to drawing.
- Monitor component quality using gauges and inspection equipment.
- Maintain lubrication system and top up lubricant as needed.
- Load coils using the Quick-change coiler and operate lifting equipment.
- Thread steel strip through form rolls and guides.
- Wind steel strip onto mandrel to the required quality.
- Achieve 75% minimum efficiency when running 4 Flexo machines.
- Carry out quality and production documentation.
- Ensure products meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards.

Atkore is looking for a Flexo operator to support the Flexo department in the smooth running of the Flexo machines to produce conduits to drawing.
What you’ll do:
Support the Flexo setter in the smooth running of the Flexo machines to produce conduits to drawing.
Monitor component quality through periodic checking, using the correct gauges, measuring or inspection equipment for the job.
Maintain the efficient operation of the machine lubrication system by monitoring oil levels and topping up with clean lubricant whenever necessary.
Loading coils using the Quick-change coiler and able to operate lifting equipment.
Thread steel strip through form rolls straight and curve guides.
Able to Wind steel strip onto mandrel to produce conduit to the required quality standard.
Collecting conduit in the machine drum.
Able to achieve 75% minimum efficiency when running 4 Flexo
Able to join all types of conduit with welding equipment and transfer conduit into the required storage medium.
Able to complete all quality and production documentation
Ensure all products are produced to the required quality standards
Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping by regularly cleaning the work areas, wiping down machines and keeping floors dry and clean.
Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and carry out duties in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and standard operating procedures.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Flexo department Supervisor/manager.
