Job summary

Doncaster & Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) is seeking a Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia with an interest in Bariatric Anaesthesia. This permanent MT04 post is based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and supports a 40-hour week with on-call commitments.

The role focuses on consolidating experience ahead of ST4 Anaesthesia training, with exposure to a Bariatric service, complex airway management, and opiate-sparing analgesia strategies.

Qualifications

• MBChB/MBBS or equivalent.
• FRCA Part 1 or equivalent.
• Initial GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
• Minimum 24 months post-foundation anaesthetic practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe anaesthetic care across theatres, critical care and obstetrics.
• Participate in elective and emergency operating lists.
• Contribute to management of patients in critical care units.
• Provide obstetric anaesthesia including labour ward and emergency cover.
• Participate in on-call rota, including nights and weekends.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team.
