Job summary

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Activity Coordinator to join Ward L5. The role involves developing and delivering a programme of social activities for patients, documenting engagement in the EPR, and collaborating with the nursing team to meet patient care needs while maintaining dignity.

You will engage with partners and lead ward campaigns, supporting fundraising and community links, with supervision from the Ward Manager.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage patients to participate in socially interactive activities.
• Identify a varied activity programme for patients on Ward L5.
• Document engagement in EPR and keep clinical team updated.
• Support nursing team to meet patient care needs and dignity.
• Lead fundraising efforts for the ward with senior support.
• Network with partners to promote relationships between community and acute services.
• Publicise activities and monthly campaigns on the ward.
• Contribute to a safe and effective working environment as directed by Ward Manager.
• Provide social interaction and wellbeing activities with minimal supervision.
• Maintain and develop ward activity timetable and individual plans.
• Record engagement in patient notes for ongoing care.
• Update activity timetables for individuals and groups as needs change.
• Demonstrate safe moving and handling; request support for complex cases.
