Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking dedicated Trainee Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Bristol. You will assist the class teacher with planning and delivery of lessons, supporting whole-class learning, small groups, and individuals.

Qualifications

• No previous classroom experience is required.
• Experience working with children is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and develop the skills needed to support pupils in school.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs is advantageous.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Patient, enthusiastic, approachable, and adaptable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
• Work with individuals, small groups, and the wider class to support learning.
• Reinforce learning and help pupils develop their knowledge and understanding.
• Support pupils across a range of subjects and activities.
• Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
• Encourage pupils to participate positively and develop confidence and independence.
• Provide additional support to pupils who may require extra help with their learning.
• Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
