Job summary

Tara Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across primary and secondary schools in Shropshire. This flexible supply role offers variety in EYFS up to KS4 and the chance to work with dedicated educators.

You will be assisting with lessons, group work, and classroom setup, while building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. An enhanced DBS update service is preferred, and relevant TA qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (school-based experience preferred).
• A caring, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress.
• Help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Assist with classroom management, preparation of learning resources, and general administrative tasks.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to contribute to a supportive school community.
