Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking adaptable Teaching Assistants for EYFS/Primary, Secondary and SEN placements across the Birmingham area. You pick your preferred setting, from Primary mainstream to 1:1 SEN support, and we match you to suitable schools with local commutes.

Benefits include flexible schedules (full-time, part-time or supply), weekly PAYE pay, and immediate start dates. Competitive daily rates range from £85 to £110, depending on setting and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, care, sports coaching or youth work.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach to learning and pupil development.
• Strong communication skills with foundational literacy and numeracy.
• DBS check on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Right to work in the UK with reliable transport links.

Responsibilities

• Primary Mainstream: provide classroom support, lead guided reading/maths groups, assist EYFS-KS2 development.
• Secondary Mainstream: assist with subject-related tasks, manage behaviour, support GCSE preparation.
• SEN & Specialist Support: deliver 1:1 or small group work tailored to pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech delays, or complex needs.
