Job summary

The Grace Eyre Foundation is recruiting a support worker for the Active Lives day service in and around Brighton & Hove. You will provide one-to-one support, travel with service users to activities, and assist with personal care as part of a friendly, patient team.

Training and induction are provided, with variety across community centres and bases. Ideal candidates show compassion, initiative and creativity, and are willing to work across multiple locations including Preston Park and other

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or autism.
• Willingness to travel/escort to activities across locations.
• Ability to use own initiative and be patient and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in the day service.
• Assist with travel/escorting to activities and personal care.
• Support delivery of activities and groups within the Active Lives program.
• Participate in induction and ongoing training.
• Promote creativity, wellbeing and development of service users.
