Job summary

Oasis Academy Lord's Hill in Southampton is seeking dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to join our internal supply pool within the Lord's Hill, Mayfield and Sholing campuses. You’ll support students in classrooms, work with teachers to deliver inclusive lessons, and provide targeted help for those with additional needs.

This role offers flexible, in-house shifts, early access to opportunities ahead of agency workers, and enrolment into a pension scheme within a supportive, all-through academy

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Level 2 minimum).
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience).
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
• The ability to support and motivate students of all abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills, flexibility, and resilience.
• Experience working with children or young people in education, care, or pastoral settings.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.
• Reliability, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom, both individually and in small groups
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences
• Provide targeted support for students with additional needs
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and student needs
• Promote positive behaviour and support student wellbeing
