Job summary

Thrive Education in Cirencester is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools and educational settings. Flexible work options include regular supply, a few days a week, or roles that fit around your commitments.

You will support pupils on 1:1 or in small groups, assist teachers, and help create a positive learning environment. Experience with children, patience, adaptability and teamwork are valued, with PAYE payroll and varied opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar role is desirable.
• Be patient, enthusiastic and adaptable.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confident working as part of a team.
• Experience in a school setting is beneficial, including SEND, childcare, care or youth work.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Support children with SEND and additional needs.
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Adapt quickly to different schools, classrooms and pupil needs.
