GSL Education are welcoming applications for a Flexible Supply Teacher to join our network of outstanding educators in Wimborne. This full-time role is ideal for experienced teachers who want the freedom of supply teaching while still having the opportunity to make meaningful contributions in the classroom.

Role overview

You will deliver engaging lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure pupils stay on track with their learning in the absence of their regular teacher. You’ll also have the chance to build valuable experience in a range of school settings.

Responsibilities of a Flexible Supply Teacher:

• Deliver prepared lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on school needs.
• Maintain a calm, focused, and supportive classroom environment.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour.
• Foster a positive learning experience for all pupils.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and provide handover feedback as needed.

Job Requirements of the Flexible Supply Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Demonstrable experience teaching in primary education (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
• Strong classroom management skills and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and organisational capabilities.
• Professional commitment to safeguarding and high educational standards.
• Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
