Job summary

Homes for Support is recruiting Casual, Bank and Sessional Residential Children’s Support Workers to provide flexible cover across our children’s homes in Crewe, Cheshire. The role is ideal alongside other commitments and offers shifts that fit around you.

You will support children aged 5-18 in residential homes, including two-to-six-bed homes and our specialist complex-care provision. Full induction and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Warmth, reliability, resilience and willingness to learn are prized qualities.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and school holidays where possible.
• Confident with written records and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, warm and nurturing home for children aged 5-18.
• Support routines, meals, activities, education and appointments.
• Build professional relationships with children and support them during distress.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Complete clear, factual records and handovers.
