Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Shrewsbury is recruiting a Collection and Network Driver on a permanent contract. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 11:20 and 18:45, delivering and collecting mail, visiting post offices, and supporting processing centres to ensure items reach the right place on time.

Ideal candidates are upbeat, independent and people‑minded, able to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Able to walk for long periods and work outdoors in all weather.
• Outgoing, independent and self-motivated with good people skills.
• Flexible regarding shift patterns and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Securely deliver all items on your route.
• Handle and deliver election materials and restricted items per policy.
• Check post boxes and collect mail from post offices.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct routing to processing centres.
• Deliver to processing centres and maintain timely deliveries.
