Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Collection and Network Driver in Darlington (DL1 1AA) for a permanent, part-time role of 20 hours weekly, spread over five days and shifts between 15:00 and 19:00. You will be part of a driver team delivering and collecting mail, visiting post offices, and supporting the network through efficient, secure handling of items.

You should be upbeat, independent, and customer-focused, with a full UK driving licence and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Customer-facing mindset and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect mail as part of a route.
• Visit post offices and business customers at prearranged times.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct placement and timing of deliveries.
• Deliver more than letters and parcels, contributing to customer satisfaction.
