Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is urgently seeking Relief/Temporary Children's Support Workers for the Brecon Area, Powys, Wales. You will support children and young people with daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing in safe home environments.

Flexibility is offered with shift options. Candidates should have at least 6 months' experience with children, a valid UK driving licence, and an Enhanced DBS. Sleep-in payments of £76 apply as applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience working with children or in a similar social care setting.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with daily activities, routines and interests.
• Promote independence and wellbeing within the home.
• Attend weekends away, holidays and trips with the children.
• Support, supervision and transport for weekend and evening activities.
• Protect children from risks to health and welfare.
• Provide emotional and practical support within the home.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour with care and restraint training as required.
