Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support a specialist school in Wolverhampton from the start of the new academic year. Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Patient, caring and adaptable.
• Can work effectively as part of a team.
• Confident using own initiative when required.
• Seeking valuable experience within education.
• Flexible work availability throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis.
• Delivering small group interventions.
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Supporting students with communication, social and emotional development.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
