Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Hayle and surrounding areas. Supply roles offer variety, flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in children’s lives.

You will support pupils with ASC, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH and other needs, with opportunities across year groups and settings. Previous experience in education or caring roles is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
• Patient, resilient and nurturing demeanour.
• Ability to adapt confidently to different school environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in education, childcare, support work, youth work, care or mentoring is desirable.

Responsibilities

• One-to-one support with individual pupils.
• Support small intervention groups.
• Assist within the classroom environment.
• Work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Provide support in mainstream and SEND-focused provisions.
