Job summary

REESON Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs across primary SEN units in Southampton, Hampshire. You will work flexibly across schools, providing 1:1 and small-group support.

Key requirements include experience with SEN, especially autism and complex needs, adaptability, and strong communication with staff, pupils and parents. Flexible days and supportive teams are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, including autism or complex needs.
• Ability to adapt to varying school environments and pupils.
• Strong communication with staff, pupils and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their goals.
• Assist in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans for pupils with a range of needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence.
• Adapt to new settings quickly, bringing energy and a proactive approach to each school you work in.
