Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Secondary Supply Teacher to provide flexible, short-term cover across Cheshire and Staffordshire. You will deliver pre-set lessons, engage students, and support continuity of learning in secondary schools.

Ideal candidates hold QTS/QTLS and have experience in secondary supply, with strong classroom and behaviour management. DBS Update Service is preferred or willingness to apply. Excellent flexibility and local travel are valued.

Qualifications

• UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS)
• Secondary Supply Teacher experience
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Flexible, adaptable, and passionate about education
• Residing in or willing to travel to Cheshire & Staffordshire

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons and maintain student engagement
• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
• Ensure classroom behaviour is managed effectively
• Support continuity of learning during staff absence
