Job summary

Randstad Education in the North Norfolk area is seeking passionate Secondary Supply Teachers to cover day-to-day or long-term roles near Cromer. You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, adapt to different schools and subject areas, and contribute to positive pupil progress.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required, with strong classroom management and a proactive approach. DBS checks are expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification).
• Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to step into unfamiliar secondary settings with ease.
• Subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in your specialist area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, Creative Arts, PE, etc.).
• An adaptable, punctual, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, maintaining high expectations for learning and pupil progress.
• Create a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
• Adapt learning delivery to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Leave clear handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day-to-day cover assignments.
• For long-term roles: plan, assess, and mark work, participate in department meetings, and contribute to parents' evenings as required.
