Smile Education is seeking a Secondary Cover Teacher to work across secondary schools in the Cannock area. You will deliver pre-planned lessons when a teacher is unavailable, focusing on classroom management, student engagement and a positive learning environment.

This role suits experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers seeking regular work with the flexibility to choose days and placements that fit their availability.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teachers and ECTs.
• Experience in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confident, professional and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across secondary year groups.
• Supervise students and keep them engaged.

• Follow lesson plans and school policies effectively.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support students with their learning and individual needs.
• Provide feedback to the school where required.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines.
