Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for confident Cover Supervisors and Supply Teachers to support with classroom cover across Plymouth's secondary schools. Flexible daily, short-term and long-term opportunities ideal for ECTs finishing PGCE or graduates seeking experience.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, adapt to different schools, and provide feedback to staff. This role offers flexible days, ongoing training, and a pathway into longer-term positions within local schools.

Qualifications

• ECTs / PGCE students finishing their training, or graduates with classroom experience.
• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management.
• Confident communicators who can build quick rapport with students.
• Reliable, professional and adaptable educators.
• Passion for supporting secondary-aged students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Maintain strong classroom management and keep students engaged with learning.
• Support students with their work and ensure lessons run smoothly.
• Adapt confidently to different schools and classroom environments.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson/day.
