Job summary

Randstad Education in Thetford is seeking flexible general cover teachers to work across Key Stage 3 and 4, with day-to-day or long-term placements across Norfolk and Suffolk. You will tailor your week to fit your schedule and school needs.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or QTLS (or UK equivalent) with strong classroom management, excellent communication, and a willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check. Competitive daily rates and local consultant support are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK equivalent).
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Reliable, punctual, professional attitude; willingness to complete Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared work across KS3 and KS4.
• Maintain a positive, safe learning environment with clear behaviour management.
• Adapt lessons for diverse learning needs, including SEND.
• Provide concise handover feedback to regular class teacher.
• For long-term roles, take on planning, assessment, and parent evenings where required.
