Job summary

Connex Education is urgently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Swindon and the surrounding area. Roles available from September 2026 with part-time and full-time opportunities, paid weekly via PAYE at £120–£160 per day depending on experience.

Experience in education is preferred but not essential. Training is provided, and ongoing support is available to help you start and develop in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Availability to work at least 2 days per week.
• Experience in education or youth work is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding training and Enhanced DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead lessons using work prepared by teaching staff.
• Supervise students and keep them engaged.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support students to stay on task and complete their work.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Follow school safeguarding policies at all times.
• Provide a calm, professional presence in the classroom.
