Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent. You will supervise classes, follow lesson plans and help maintain a positive learning environment.

This role offers flexible day-to-day work across multiple schools, with regular placements and potential longer-term opportunities. You will build strong relationships with students and staff while supporting learning across KS3 to KS5.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school is essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Experience working with students across KS3 to KS5.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Reliable, professional and adaptable approach.
• A genuine commitment to supporting young people's education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3-5 using lesson plans.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Keep students engaged and on task throughout lessons.
• Provide support to students with their learning as required.
• Adapt quickly to different classes and school environments.
• Follow school policies including safeguarding and behaviour expectations.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
