Job summary

Smile Education are currently recruiting for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Telford and the surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will support secondary schools by supervising classes when teachers are absent.

You will deliver pre-prepared work, maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining expectations.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to work across a range of subjects and year groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
• Maintain a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
• Support students with their learning and keep them on task.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Adapt confidently to different schools, subjects and year groups.
