Job summary

RAC is hiring a Superflex Roadside Mechanic in the Guildford cluster and surrounding area. You’ll work a 40‑hour week on a flexible schedule between 06:00 and 02:00, serving RAC members locally and returning them to the road quickly.

You’ll use your technical skills on light vehicles, with development support and access to industry accreditation. The role provides a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
• Opportunity for technical development through RAC pathway and accreditation

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑the‑spot roadside assistance to RAC members across your local area
• Manage and maintain your own toolkit and van stock for timely repairs
• Read situations quickly to identify the best fix and keep customers moving
