Job summary

RAC is seeking a Superflex Roadside Mechanic in the Portsmouth area. The role offers a base salary of £50,669, with the opportunity to earn up to £57,000 including bonuses and overtime.

Shifts span 06:00–02:00 and include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. You'll cover local clusters including Fareham, start from home, and work with your RAC van and diagnostic kit to get members back on the road quickly.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach and excellent communication with members.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Flexibility to work at short notice and travel, including overnight stays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside assistance to RAC members across the local area.
• Diagnose faults and perform on-site repairs or safe transits.
• Keep van and toolkit stocked, report outcomes accurately and efficiently.
