Southern Illinois Healthcare seeks a skilled registered nurse to provide professional nursing care for SIH patients. The role covers diverse units and requires ACLS/PALS and other certifications within stated timelines.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with relevant degrees and is prepared for ongoing credentialing, education, and cross-unit support as part of a multidisciplinary team. Competitive compensation applies alongside credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois (or eligible for licensure).
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC or TNS within 1 year of hire or residency graduation.
• NRP within 6 months of hire; Emergency skills in ER/ICU settings.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide support to patients and families.
• Plan and evaluate an individual care plan with the care team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote optimal health.
• Demonstrate clinical judgement and report changes in condition promptly.
• Complete accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Contribute to policy/procedure development for safety and quality.
• Supervise and delegate to licensed Practical Nurse or aides when needed.
• Advocate for patients through collaboration with health professionals.
• Complete required education and licensure on time.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency.
